Bionote

Kalyani has been a permanent faculty in the Department of Elementary Education, Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi since 2004. She is having twenty five  years of teaching experience in the capacity of teacher and teacher educator. She worked as senior school teacher (Physics) for a decade before moving into Teacher education.Her doctoral thesis is in the area of science education and published work is in the area of science education and teacher education. She is actively engaged in pre-service and in-service teacher education especially in the area of science and environmental education and conducts workshops .She has authored books both for school level as well as undergraduate level.  She is actively involved with CBSE and NCERT in the capacity of resource person and subject expert. She is an evaluator of Ph D, M.Phil and  M .A dissertations of various universities. She has contributed to the corporate social life of college  in various capacities-Convenor, Leave Committee, NSS Program officer, Staff council treasurer and secretary , staff advisor to various societies etc  and is currently,the staff advisor to the Students Union and Students Welfare Office.
